Bridge

i'm ready to cross the bridge from then to now...
are you?
from past to present, from lie to truth...
i'm ready to change my blurry point of view
to fall so fast, to jump so far
i'm ready to see just how high you'll set the bar.
will you let go?
will i?
can we move on, take this love and truly fly?
i'm done asking all of these questions we've both already answered.
i'm yours today, tomorrow and forever with a love
that will never be altered.
Lean on God and we will last, lean on Him and don't move fast.
I love you... that's all we need.

so here's the situation, a bridge over troubled waters i've built for you.
it lies before you waiting on you to take that step...
i'll wait as long as you desire.
because i'm ready to cross with you,
to follow and walk along side you, to travel further
and to see things we've both dreamed. And to love and never tire.

here's the bridge i've built for you... i love you.
cross with me... and we both will see.

Busy Year

Well 2010 has come and gone, and what a while wind of a year it was!
Business was absolutely fantastic and all of my dear clients were so wonderful to me over the 2010 year, I am so blessed to call most of them friends and family.

2011 has promised to be a FANTASTIC year, already starting off my year with a cleansing of the body and soul, and will be reorganizing my business as well. I started this blog off to show what I have been working on over the year, and to get my business out there. But I have truly been thinking about what it is I want people to read and learn about here. And I've come to the conclusion that I want you to learn and see what I do through a camera lens, even if it's a picture taken on a camera phone or computer, or an actual camera. Take this journey with me and see what I see, relive some of my life changing moments.

Here's hoping that I will keep up with this blog this year, it has become a new project of mine :) Hopefully I can keep you all interested!

The First picture I took of the year was on my phone! I was in Kentucky visiting my boyfriend and we were running some errands around town before the OU vs. Connecticut game, and of course I was sporting my OU gear. I defiantly got a few looks, and come to think of it, they were probably looking at the massive bow on my head ;)

Here is my wonderful Boyfriend Josh! He moved to Kentucky at the end of 2010 and became the Music Director for an amazing church located in Lexington. This was my very first visit to Kentucky and it was an absolute adventure!

Well this is all for now I'll post more about my life, with my camera in hand, soon!

Spring is here!

Spring has finally arrived and there are so many beautiful days ahead of us. I've had some great sessions lately. Here is a sneak peak of a few of my favs. I have a few others that I'll add soon. :)

Just finished a set on my flickr. And I have to say it was a fun set to edit. Great models and they allowed me to be artsy. I think people should realize by now when they ask for photos by me, they are not the norm. I like to do very different things with my photos and I hope people appreciate my art work :) Here are a few of my favorites.

I also decided to have a little session by little house this weekend. I actually think I took these on Friday but I wanted to share a few of my favorites from that session as well.

be looking for more and more! I have a feeling this week I'll produce a ton of photos.

Outside of the Box

Some of you have being following my work on flickr over the last couple of months and noticed that I am not just taking photos of people, I am doing something a little more creative. Stretching my bounds, testing the waters of my creativeness, and I have to say I'm enjoying capturing things in the world beyond people. I've always been fascinated with people and emotions and I will continue to be intrigued by the relationship between the two. But sometimes stepping out of ones box requires you to see, everything, and I'm beginning to open my eyes to that thought.
I have noticed that my pictures of the world tend to be a bit on the dark side, I think the reasoning behind this has a lot to do with the fact that the winter months have been kind of gloomy. And I've really tried to capture this. As a photographer you are required to capture what you see within your lens, but I try to look past that, see the art that awaits.
Please watch for more of these photographs and "art" pieces. I have a feeling I'll be doing this more and more. I've also taken a step outside of my comfort zone and applied for something really different, I'm crossing my fingers that everything works out for the little adventure I'm hoping to embark upon. Until I find out for sure please keep me in your prayers that my path is opened up to a whole new world.
